In one of my earliest memories, I am assisting my mom in creating the perfect meal for our family of six (I can’t express how blessed I am to have three amazing sisters!) I was a very precocious and eager soux chef taking any direction mom would offer as my penchant for cooking delicious food began as early as I can remember. My mother has always been my rock and my inspiration and I am forever grateful that she handed down to me three very relevant traits that I have carried with me throughout my life’s journey. First, I have a genuine interest in knowing and caring about others and engaging with them on a deep level. Second, I love whipping up a delicious concoction with whatever odds and ends I find in my kitchen and third, I have an unquenchable thirst for accomplishing whatever goals I am determined to achieve. It’s no surprise that throughout my life, I have always gravitated toward opportunities that offered me the ability to meet new people, inspire them toward greatness, and to turn my life’s passions into my very own business.
Simple. I love good food and nutrition. I love experimenting with whole, fresh, delicious ingredients. I love nature, and anything related to self-help and spirituality. I love people. I love motherhood and the idea of nurturing our babies, our bodies and our families to our fullest extent. I love everything about organic processes and believe wholeheartedly that with the right tools and the appropriate support, every one of us is able to achieve our goals, especially our health and wellness goals. One of my greatest strengths acquired during my years as leader in the corporate world is inspiring, developing and coaching others to transform into the most successful versions of themselves. And thus, the creation of CHRISSY DAVENPORT, Revitalize and Nourish. This, my friends, is where I exhibit my true passions.
I am so grateful and enthusiastic to finally be here, focusing on holistic means of achieving health and wellness, sharing these blessings with my family and close friends, and now also with others – strangers who will become new friends -- who also strive to include these elements in their daily life.
For fifteen years, I followed a professional path that was perhaps more traditional, but less true to myself. As a health care Executive Medical Device Sales Rep and Manager I hired, mentored, coached and worked among some of the best and brightest. But I always felt there was something missing – I wanted to inspire people on a deeper level and I yearned for the time to use my creativity and passion in the kitchen to reach others and positively impact their health. I learned a lot about the ugly faces of chronic disease and I have immense respect for physicians who focus on the treatment of diabetes, obesity and cancer – they truly do change and save many lives. But my desire remained to impact the patient much earlier in their journey by educating on the ways to reduce risk factors for disease while encouraging health and vitality. I have realized how much we can play a part in the expression of our genes. While we might be predisposed to develop a number of conditions in our lifetime, it is a fact that lifestyle choices and diet are so much more powerful than most of us are even aware. YOU, my friends, have a lot more to say than you realize in determining the fate of your health.
And so my decision to change, to quit that traditional path and turn my dual passions for healthy living and helping people has become my new career. I promise to meet each client where she is in her own journey to health, and to nurture her body and soul so that she might feel strong and empowered to be her very best.
